VRATNICE is a small village , about 4 km distance from Visoko, with several burial hills and tombs dating back to Roman and Illyrian times. When the pyramid hype in Visoko started in 2006, the people of Vratnice began digging one of these hills, Toprakalija, which they suspected to be a pyramid or burial place of the pyramid builders.
Later in 2006 the digging was taken over by Semir Osmanagic' foundation and still goes on during the winter 2008.
This is the actual status by January 2008
- Toprakalija Hill appears to be artificial
- Massive stone slabs were excavated that seem to be shaped by man and put in place in order to construct a huge burial chamber or temple.
- Graves were found on top of the hill dating back to Roman and Illyrian times, which indicates that the obvious man shaped hill was existing in Pre-Illyrian times.
- Stone tools were found and catalogued.
